Welcome Dr. Donna Rizk Asdourian

Dr. Donna Rizk Asdourian holds a Masters in Orthodox Theological Studies from Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology, a Masters in Eastern Christianity from the University of Oxford, and a Ph.D. in Theology from King's College London. Her research interests include Eastern Christianity, Coptic Orthodoxy, Armenian Studies, Liturgics, Patristics, and Women in the Church.

Join ACTS in welcoming Dr. Stephen Meawad!

ACTS is pleased to announce that Dr. Stephen Meawad will be joining our team this Summer 2019. Stephen M. Meawad is currently adjunct professor of Catholic Studies at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT. He completed his Ph.D. in Theology at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA with a dissertation entitled “Spiritual Struggle and Gregory of Nyssa’s Theory of Perpetual Ascent: An Orthodox Christian Virtue Ethic.” His continued research interests incorporate Orthodox Christianity, Coptic practices, and modern western ethical, theological, and philosophical discourses. He currently resides in Connecticut with his wife and daughter.

ACTS Collaborates Abroad

As part of the global outreach for St. Athanasius and St. Cyril Theological School (ACTS), HG Bishop Kyrillos met with the newly formed St. Paul Institute for Ministry Studies (SPIMS) in Cairo, Egypt and their leadership including the very Reverend Fr. Daoud Lamie. St. Paul Institute has been formed to offer quality level English theological training and education for servants in Egypt who are committed to worldwide evangelism and mission.
