Tuition & Fees

Attending graduate school is an investment in your future and your faith. This page will help you see more concretely what it costs to pursue a degree at ACTS, as well as the kinds of support available to you to potentially offset that cost. Below you’ll find average tuition for each of our programs, and several questions and answers about your financial aid options with links to more information.

How much do our programs cost?

Saint Athanasius and Saint Cyril Coptic Orthodox Theological School is fully committed to keeping the cost of a theological education as low as possible. Listed below is the current tuition schedules for the 2018-2019 Academic year.

Tuition for each program is shown below. Additional fees will apply depending on the length of study (technology fees) and courses taken (books, supplies, study abroad). The tuition rate is the same for both online and on-campus study.

Fees:
$50 – Application Fee (1x)
$50 – Technology Fee (Per Semester)

Graduate Certificates: $1,800 ea.

$200 per unit taken, most courses are 3 units, tuition is billed per semester based on the number of units the student is enrolled in. Each semester a student enrolls in there will be a $50 technology fee added to the tuition for the semester. Tuition is due by the end of the add/drop period of the semester typically 2 weeks after courses begin.

Master of Theological Studies (M.T.S.): $7,200

$200 per unit taken, most courses are 3 units, tuition is billed per semester based on the number of units the student is enrolled in. Each semester a student enrolls in there will be a $50 technology fee added to the tuition for the semester. Tuition is due by the end of the add/drop period of the semester typically 2 weeks after courses begin.

Master of Theology (T.H.M.) Program: $8,100

$300 per unit taken, most courses are 3 units, tuition is billed per semester based on the number of units the student is enrolled in. Each semester a student enrolls in there will be a $50 technology fee added to the tuition for the semester. Tuition is due by the end of the add/drop period of the semester typically 2 weeks after courses begin.

Auditing

What is auditing?

Auditing is being given access to a course, its lectures, & materials, without having to turn in any coursework or receive a grade. Audited courses will not be applied towards any program or degree. Non-Students & Students can audit any course at any time for a flat rate fee of $400, to audit courses you simply need to register for them as an auditor through Populi, if you have any questions regarding auditing please email registrar@actslibrary.org.


Payment Options

Payment Plan

All students are eligible for a payment plan as long as they are in good academic standing. Payment plans are available for Summer, Fall, and Spring semesters. A request to be put on a payment plan can be emailed to finance@actslibrary.org

Example: 1 Course = $600

1st Installment (Due Immediately): $50 (tech) + $50 (admin) + $150 (tuition) = $250

30 days (2nd Installment): $150

60 Days (3rd Installment): $150

90 Days (4th Installment): $150

Payment Plan Process

The first payment of the payment plan is due immediately when the plan is set up. The 1st payment will include the following invoice charges:

  • Technology fee ($50)

  • Administrative fee ($50)

  • 25% of the tuition due for registered classes

Subsequent payments will be due every 30 calendar days until balance is paid in full. If you fail to pay without consulting administration, your course(s) could be dropped.


Scholarship

ACTS is pleased to offer a scholarship fund for eligible students pursuing a graduate degree at ACTS. Selection is based on academic achievement as well as responses to the provided essay prompts.

Depending on available funding, several applicants will be awarded a one-time award equivalent to the current tuition cost for two (2) full semester graduate courses (i.e. excludes intensives and study abroad). The award amount will be credited toward the student’s current outstanding tuition balance for registered courses. This is a competitive award program and not all students who apply will receive awards.

Scholarship eligibility requirements:

  1. Must have completed a minimum of two master’s level courses through ACTS with a minimum grade of B or better.

  2. Currently enrolled full-time (6 units or more) in a master’s program at ACTS.

  3. In good academic standing with a 3.0 cumulative GPA.

  4. In good financial standing (no past due balances).

  5. Must have never accepted a scholarship from ACTS in the past

ACTS reserves the right to change or terminate this program at any time. Only online applications will be accepted. All information is kept strictly confidential.
